For our foreign students
Chairman – Leo Tegelaar
In 2009, I went to the introcamp reunion that was organized in ‘Van Horen Zeggen’. I had heard of this Flow-party in the afternoon and decided to go there. Since then, I got involved with the association. The monthly Flow-parties, the theme parties and amazing study trip, made my first year in Tilburg a great success.
In my second college year, I was member of the IFAC, the committee that is responsible for the informal activities. This was very fun to do, together we’ve organized unforgettable parties! Being active made me want more! And just as I did the year before, I applied for the board.
Now here I am, together with Teun, Corine and Inge I’m opposing a whole new challenge. The ambition to make Flow an even better association as it is, is big. Personally, I’m very fascinated about the chairmanship, a function where I’m proud of and where I want to get the most out of. We’re going to make sure that this year is going to be another successful year for Flow!
Vice-chairman – Teun Vugts
In august 2008 a nice leaflet with an invitation for the introduction camp for new CIW students fell on my doormat. “Flow goes Campingstyle,” was the theme of this camp. From the moment that I arrived at the campus and saw the Flow herd, I surrendered. I became member from the first moment on and in my first year I was member of the IFAC. Seen the fact that I got my BSA at
the very last moment, I decided that I wouldn’t be active for Flow in my second year. I used this year to catch up and to search for a living space. Although I was non-active, I kept being involved with Flow. Therefore, in my third year, I decided to become active again. This time I was chief commissioner of the web-committee and member of the intro-commission. After this busy year, applying for the board of Flow seemed the only right option for me.
As vice-chairman I expect a year with different challenges and obstacles. We want to make sure that Flow becomes well-known, not only on the campus, but also off campus in the business world. We’re going to make sure that Flow gets an even more professional image!
Besides that, I can say with pride that I have great confidence that the cooperation with Leo, Corine
and Inge will succeed. 2011/2012 is going to be a great year!
Secretary – Corine Boonman
As new member of the board of Flow, I travelled another road than most of us. I just finished the bachelor ‘Algemene Cultuurwetenschappen’ (General Cultural Sciences) and this year I’ll start the master Corporate communication and digital media. Three years ago I became a member of Flow, but since last year I became active. In 2010 I did my minor in Chicago, where I lived for one semester. When I came back I became an active member in the IFAC. Fairly soon I developed the ambition to apply for the board.
This year I’m the secretary of Flow, which is the sort of job that suits me wonderfully! With no doubt, this year will stand for a lot of fun and informative Flow-activities and an extra challenge, namely next year will be our lustrum year. I’m convinced that this, together with the board and all other members, will be a fun and successful Flow-year!
Treasurer – Inge de Weerd
The job of treasurer of Flow will be mine for this college year. Flow means a lot to me since the first freshman activity (24 november 2009). I was encouraged to become an active member and as a result of that, I organized a lot of fun activities with the IFAC in my first year. In that year I’ve been on study trip to Istanbul which created the feeling of Flow being my family. Last college year, I organized a fun introduction camp together with the other members of the intro-commission and I’ve been on the study trip again, this time we went to Krakau. After this trip Flow won an even bigger place in my heart and I noticed that I wanted to do more. That is why I applied for the board and I’m happy that I, together with Leo, Teun and Corine, succeeded to start this college year in a good way.
At the moment I study Intercultural Communication which is part of Communication and Information Sciences. Besides that I follow a part time study on the MusicAllFactory. This is my ideal combination! I’m looking forward to put the finances of Flow in order and to help our association grow.
