- General information: This course handles biological systems and processes that form the basis for psychological conditions. It's partially about DNA, the endocrine system, homeostasis, and the immune system. Furthermore, it also talks about the biology of sex, psychopharmacology, and emotions. Finally, specific topics on psychophysiology and the biology of stress, anxiety, and depression are discussed.
- Study load: It was quite a lot of studying, as there were a lot of terms. However, there weren't any skills necessary besides factual knowledge reproduction.
- Positive feedback?: The topics of this course are very interesting, and a lot of interesting case studies are handled during the lectures and practicals. Video recordings of the lectures becoming available at the end of the block really helped with studying, too.
- Negative feedback?: The guess correction was quite brutal; a single mistake could easily lower your grade by 0.4. There is quite a lot of study material, and you had to memorize a lot of terms quite specifically, as the multiple-choice questions were very specific and nuanced.
