  • General Information: You learn about three different types of emerging technologies that can be used in the learning context: virtual reality, gamification, and social (virtual) robots. The group assignment will be based on one of these technologies.
  • Study Load: The course is organized in a way that you first have theory-filled lectures twice a week, and after 9 lectures, you get to focus on the assignment fully. You do have to do multiple presentations, though, which take some time to prepare. But in general, the study load is good.
  • Positive Feedback: I liked the group assignment part the most, as you got to choose the most interesting topic and do research on it. We did qualitative research instead of quantitative, like most groups, and even though we weren't skilled in it (as no one followed the research skill interview), Jan and Mincheol were very supportive in helping us in the process.
  • Negative Feedback: The exam was doable, but some questions were hard to answer. This was mostly due to very niche things being asked that were somewhere in the papers. And there were a lot of papers to read.
