1. How would you describe your committee in three words and why?

Experienced, there is a huge amount of experience in my committee. That might also partly be why we were chosen, but it’s good to notice and nice to work with. We do feel a little old sometimes, but we prefer to call ourselves experienced haha.

Involved. I think this speaks for itself. Most of us have come back from ‘Flow retirement’ to organize the lustrum together. We all still have a huge heart for Flow, which is why we are all so excited to do this.

Finally, I would say Party, the lustrum is, of course, one big party. And partying has to be in your blood a little bit, in order to create something good.

2. During the October Drink, the activities for the Lustrum were announced. Which activity are you looking forward to the most?

That would have to be the Gala for most of us. It’s the perfect picture. Dressed up nicely, experiencing a weekend of luxury and unlimited food and drinks with all my Flow friends. That sounds perfect.

The end party, ‘pullen vullen’, is secretly a close second and my personal favorite.

3. What is it like to be a commissioner of the Lustrum Committee? To what extent is it different from a normal year as commissioner?

I’m very proud of the honor of getting to do this. I think that it’s not all that different. It’s just a much bigger activity, where you have to think about all types of things. Designing things like your own theme, merchandise, social media, and such is not something that each committee has to do. Besides that, the budget you work with is really huge compared to other committees. But being a commissioner in itself is pretty much the same as for any other committee, I think.

4. How is this Lustrum Committee different than the committee for Lustrum III?

I can’t really answer that, I only joined a year later myself. I should ask a few others from the committee. They were present for this, Meggie and Anneloes were even on the Daily Board then!

5. What are your goals for the committee?

An unforgettable lustrum. I want people to still talk about Lustrum IV with great enthusiasm the day before Lustrum V.

6. If you didn’t have to consider time or money, what would you want to organize?

If money played no part, it of course would all be free, and in terms of an activity, I would think of a big festival or cantus at TOP Week level.
